It's that time again! We talked about the subject of #Old tech on Hemispheric Views so Martin, Andrew, and myself all shared a piece of technology that connects as a peripheral to our computer that really stood out to us. As usual, I will now proceed to list out three items rather than just one!

After much reflection, we’ve decided to officially sunset the Hemispheric Views Discord server. While we’ve enjoyed the chats here, Discord as a platform no longer aligns with the values of this community. We want a space that we actually **own**, where information is accessible, and where we aren't being squeezed for every "Nitro" cent. Come check out the new forum!

Back in the late nineties and early two thousands, using computers felt like magic. No matter how anemic the specs were, you felt as though you could do anything. Hell, you could even take the whole damn thing apart down to bare metal if you wanted. This is how we learned! Imagining what computers and the internet would be like a quarter century from then seemed like the technology would be beyond our wildest dreams. **Spoiler:** It went the other way.
