Back in the late nineties and early two thousands, using computers felt like magic. No matter how anemic the specs were, you felt as though you could do anything. Hell, you could even take the whole damn thing apart down to bare metal if you wanted. This is how we learned! Imagining what computers and the internet would be like a quarter century from then seemed like the technology would be beyond our wildest dreams. **Spoiler:** It went the other way.
